Step back into the absolute peak of the early 2000s sport compact craze with the highly collectible Hot Wheels Hyundai Tiburon. Holding a legendary, historically tracked position as model 20/42 within the iconic 2003 First Editions series (overall collector number #032), this premium 1:64 scale imported diecast car honors the sharply designed, second-generation Korean sports coupe whose name literally translates to "Shark"—capturing the peak era of affordable street-tuning culture. The casting masterfully preserves the Tiburon’s distinctive aerodynamic profile, beautifully highlighting its sweeping fastback roofline, sharp dual-lens front headlight layout, integrated rear deck spoiler, and aggressive lower body ground effects. Dressed in its historic debut, high-gloss deep black finish, this 20/42 First Edition release features a clean, un-tamponed exterior that perfectly accentuates its realistic sports car body lines, complete with crisp factory front and rear branding marks that radiate pure turn-of-the-century import tuner appeal. Whether you are completing a dedicated 2003 First Editions mini-set collection wall, expanding an authentic retro street-racing diorama layout, or looking for a premium desk companion packed with early-2000s sport-compact nostalgia, this rare imported mainline drop is a vital crown jewel for automotive enthusiasts and Hot Wheels collectors alike. Why Collectors Love It The 20/42 First Edition variant of the Hyundai Tiburon remains a highly sought-after, niche priority target for tuner-era hobbyists due to its limited run and era-perfect design. Mattel has sculpted this model with exceptional precision, building a heavy, high-quality diecast metal body framework that sits low over a set of classic chrome-rimmed PR5 (Phil Riehlman Five-Spoke) performance wheels that enhance its aggressive street rake. It catches display case lighting beautifully and adds profound cultural depth and sporty attitude to any collection shelf or garage grid.
