Product Description

The Definitive Industry-Standard Matte Finish for Modelers & Customizers:

Elevate your scale models, Gunpla kits, and artistic customs to exhibition quality with the GSI Creos Mr. Hobby [B514] Mr. Super Clear Flat Matt Spray (170ml)! Renowned across the global hobby community as the premier solvent-based clear coat, Mr. Super Clear Flat Matt transforms the glossy "toy-like" sheen of raw plastic into an authentic, light-diffusing matte texture while providing a protective barrier over paintwork and panel lines.

Decal Blending, Uniform Flat Sheen & Paint Protection:

Packaged in an aerosol can with a fine-mist fan nozzle, B514 delivers consistent surface results:

• True Flat Matte Sheen: Eliminates unwanted glare and reflections, giving armor plating, aircraft skins, and mecha frames an authentic scale appearance.

• Seamless Decal Integration: Softens and blends the transparent borders of water-slide decals into the underlying paint coat to eliminate the visible "silvering" edge effect.

• Weathering & Panel Line Barrier: Acts as a durable intermediate sealer over base colors before applying oil washes, weathering powders, and enamel panel line accents.

• The Gold Standard for Doll & Figure Customizers: Universally favored by Ball-Jointed Doll (BJD) faceup artists, vinyl doll customizers, and figure repainters as a receptive tooth base layer for pastel powders, watercolor pencils, and acrylics.

• High-Volume 170ml Workshop Can: Provides generous volume to topcoat multiple High Grade (HG), Real Grade (RG), or Master Grade (MG) Gunpla kits and scale aircraft projects.

Key Product Features:

• Official GSI Creos Mr. Hobby Product: Authentic Japanese-formulated hobby sealant (Product Code: B514).

• True Ultra-Flat Matte Finish: Completely removes plastic glare for a clean, non-reflective presentation.

• Blends Decal Edges: Flattens waterslide decal borders to create a painted-on look.

• Fine Aerosol Atomization: Produces an even, micro-fine mist spray with smooth self-leveling properties.

• Versatile Application: Compatible with lacquer-cured coats, fully cured acrylics, bare model kit styrene, and resin parts.

• Protective Clear Barrier: Shields paint finishes against UV fading, handling friction, and dust accumulation.

Important Modelers' Application Tips:

• Ventilation & Safety: Use in a well-ventilated outdoor or spray booth area while wearing an appropriate organic vapor respirator mask.

• Humidity Awareness: Avoid spraying in high-humidity conditions (above 70% RH) or rainy weather to prevent "frosting" or moisture trapping.

• Application Technique: Shake vigorously for 1–2 minutes before use. Spray in smooth, sweeping passes 15–20 cm away from the model in light coats rather than a single heavy coat.

• Paint Compatibility Notice: Because this is a hot solvent-type lacquer formula, allow all underlying acrylic or enamel coats to cure completely before applying light mist coats; avoid applying wet heavy coats directly over uncured water-based acrylics.
